Kristina Bore

With a long spanning interest in the visual medium, Kristina Ketola Bore, first started an art education. However, the lack of the written form inspired a change in tactics. She exiled to London to study fashion journalism, where she initiated an exploration into the visual communication sector and the importance of what we call design. After graduating from her BA she ventured back to her home country of Norway. Here she would spend the following two years freelancing as a music and design writer, while nurturing her long love for magazines and the printed medium.

The intense need for an approachable design dialog sparked the interest in design writing criticism. In a society where design surrounds us at any given time, she believes that design can indeed inspire positive change. She chose the MA Design Writing Criticism course as a way to stimulate her own critical thinking and in the hope of being part of a constructive transformation in the way we view design.

Kristina continues to write about design and modern culture, as well as working on a book discovering the tracks of Picasso in the modern design culture of Norway.
